What Is It?
The CLiP Grant is a community impact fund powered by the CLiP Hybrid Wallet, turning everyday payments into real change. Each transaction processed through CLiP — along with optional “round-up” donations and partner contributions — helps fund projects that promote inclusion, equality, independence, and access. Grant streams include sensory room development, gender-affirming healthcare, organizational capacity-building, and small-scale community projects. Funds are never awarded as cash; instead, CLiP pays approved suppliers and service providers directly, ensuring every euro is spent exactly where it’s needed.
The CLiP Grants
It takes money generated from CLiP payments and puts it straight into tangible, targeted support for people and communities who need it most.
In practice, this means the grant:
Funds equipment, services, and projects that improve inclusion, accessibility, and equality.
Covers real-world needs like building sensory rooms, paying for gender-affirming surgeries and travel, or giving community groups the tools to grow.
Strengthens community organizations so they can operate sustainably and keep delivering impact.
Responds to urgent needs with microgrants for fast, meaningful help.
Importantly, the grant doesn’t hand out cash — instead, it pays suppliers, service providers, and contractors directly, making sure the support is delivered exactly as intended.
How it works
1. Every Transaction Counts
- When someone pays through CLiP, two things can add to the grant pool:
• Round-Up Donations – the buyer’s payment is rounded up to the nearest whole €/\$/£ and the spare change is donated.
• Merchant Interchange Share – the participating merchant gives a small % of their processing revenue.
2. Real-Time Tracking
- These contributions are updated live in the CLiP platform, showing:
• Total Raised so far
• Funding Target for the approved grant application
• % Progress toward that target
3. When the Target is Reached
- Once the total raised matches or exceeds the target, the CLiP Grant moves to payment stage
4. Paying for Approved Items
The grant team pays the invoices, products, or services directly to suppliers — no cash is given to the applicant.
- This ensures every cent raised goes exactly where it’s meant to go.
